It’s been a lot calmer today thank goodness. Following BG’s advice I gave the beds a water with seasol last night after I managed to drag the tree off them. At first I thought it was only mustard in the green manure bed that bore the brunt, but actually the brassica bed took a beating too from where the acacia landed on it. However the plants don’t look too bad this morning so I am hopeful that they will recover. Another of the green manure beds was flattened, but I think it will recover ok. The peas were knocked a bit so I will probably have to cut off the broken stems.
Lost a lot of mulch off a few of the beds. Only the one newly mulched bed (sans plants at this stage…got some new beetroot seedlings to go there) didn’t seem to lose any mulch because it was so wet. Yet the other newly mulched ones where we planted peas on Wednesday mustn’t have been as wet because they lost a lot of the mulch.
The thing that really surprised me was the way the rhubarb was bent over….didn’t notice that till last night (didn’t take a photo though).
