There are a lot of grasses and many look similar.

Absolutely, I’ve got what I’m pretty sure is Queensland Blue Grass on the Redoubt but the soil and location don’t fit.
I’ve got to get a ph kit to confirm what they say the area is acidic.

Granite regions usually have acidic soils, unless limestone has been deposited on top and then should be reasonably obvious.
