was listening to something on TV today, well, half listening, they talked of bribes a lot, corruption of that sort.

I kept thinking inducements, and wondering when an inducement becomes a bribe.

doesn’t money sort of cause a generalized array of inducements. Lend to that. Potentials, and aren’t they sort of always there, inherent with money, having special qualities of conversion as it does. And what’s that other property, where five dollars here can instantly be five dollars somewhere else, I mean really they can be the same five dollars. A type of spooky action at a distance you could say.

and aren’t people flooded with inducements all the time. Not just money.

Inducements like flyby points? It has been called “corruption” when flyby points earnt for business trips are spent on private travel. CSIRO was careful to keep all flyby points for itself specifically in order to avoid such allegations of corruption.

True enough I suppose. Advocates of capitalism want us to believe that “greed is good” except in various chosen circumstances where we’re expected to be highly indignant about it.

And that was another very pleasant morning walk in the countryside.

Now for a healthy breakfast of green beans.

Wasn’t there a politician recently who resigned over a bottle of wine.

Also, it’s said that taking a few dollars out of a haul of tens of thousands is the gateway to police corruption.

A bottle of Grange, so “worth” a few hundred $.

The value of gifts that need to be declared by politicians is written in legislation. Not sure what it is.
