I never want to pack another box again! The lounge and family rooms are now empty of furniture and chattels and ready for the builders to come and do their bit. The 6m^2^ skip is 3/4 full from rubbish and the carpet we ripped out of #1 sons old room. We are now using his room as a mini lounge room but because he used to share it with a ferret it stank! So the carpet, the main offender, had to go. So imagine a not particularly large bedroom with a single bed, a settee, a TV, a bookshelf, a cat, a budgie, 2 rats and 3 people and you will have a very cosy room. The cat will be going on a holiday tomorrow though so he won’t have to suffer the distress of all the changes going on.
And you wouldn’t believe what you can pack into a 2×3 meter storage unit! It was tight but they did it! Not an whisker of space left! It was a bit close there for a while and it looked like I was going to have to take some stuff home with me. Imagine one of those 3 dimensional puzzles where you slot a piece in here, twisted it so many degrees this way, give a little push one direction and it falls into place in another. It was just like that.
