Subject: Religious Hypocrisy ?

Does hypocrisy in religion stem from the fact that God has never been proven, and people in religion carry on as if God does exist (when there is no proof).

Could that be the root cause of religious people who appear to be hypocritical ?

If you say you are religious especially Christian in our nation it automatically makes you a decent, kind, caring person

But really religious people have seen all the proof they need and are so deeply convinced.

ANTI-PROOF = FAITH

if YOU doubt the existence of THEIR God
it naturally upsets THEIR Equilibrium.

I’ll leave to someone smarter
to create a graph. :-p

Some more hypocritical observations

The role of priests caring and protecting children but then sexually abusing them.

Catholics who marry have a family then seek another sexual partner.

Have we talked about George Pell going to jail yet?

It’s not general public knowledge yet, but he’s been found guilty of molesting young boys and will be sentenced early next year.

I think Morrisson is kind of overdoing it with the blokey ocker bullshit. No one is going to support your policy just because you call it fair dinkum. I think most Australians have moved on from that.

The Coalition can’t survive on the votes of Boomers forever. Fuck, even we Xers are getting on a bit.

I’d rather not live the thought-centric universe, not entirely. Be a captive of my own mind.

Imagine that, being a captive of your own enthusiasms.

If you said that to John Howard, he’d have let it go through to the keeper.

Hypocrisy is everywhere. Nothing to do with religion.

I think we all have to be hypocrites in order to survive. And I think you’ll find it in a huge number of non-human species. I suspect that all species that practice deception will prove to be hypocritical, including chickens, pigs and cuttlefish.

I’m not convinced that there are any such things as “rights”. Perhaps what you’re talking about is priveleges.

As for child abuse by clergy. I don’t remember anything from the Bible that bans such practices.
