The latest edition is a really good one. It’s got a article on growing cymbidiums in the tropics and subtropics.
Did you know that Rosella shoots make good eating? I didn’t but i might have to give it a try.

I got one of those a couple of years ago and it was very good reading but I haven’t been able to find it since..Warm Earth is about my limit for gardening mags these days…

No, I didn’t know that about rosella shoots…interesting…

At the risk of sounding like an advert……

It’s got articles on Tropicals for Sydney, a big section on Begonias (pom should like that), hanging basket plants, Intergrated pest management, Fruit for the birds, Organic nutrients and gardening with Bush turkeys, as well as their regulars.

re the Rosellas, it says…The young leaves and fresh shoots are quite delicious. Dark reddish green the leaves have a distinct cranberry flavour. They can be lightly cooked or used raw in salads.

Thanks Bubba. It’s on the next shopping list. I’ve only missed 2 issues since it started and I regret missing both. It’s a great mag for up here.
