Hey Horty, I was thinking..

Those Dracaenas I have waiting for you are looking pretty poorly, and in two week’s time Mr Bon and I are away for 6 weeks – goodness knows how they will look when we get back!

I know you’re really busy but maybe I should drop them off at your place before we go away??

The roses you wanted are also looking pretty sad, but you have to dig those up yourself :)

The vegie patch can wait another few weeks, what are your plans for next Sunday? Perhaps I should toddle over your way with a shovel. I’d still love you guys to come and see my new place, it’s starting to look quite nice.

Aha, we’re both here at the same time :)

Sunday.. I think we have no plans, except Mr Bon is having three wisdom teeth out on Friday, so he may not be the perkiest company!!

We will be pretty busy so couldn’t spend too long chatting, but I’m sure we can fit in a couple of hours :)

Tell you what, I’ll have a closer look at the rose bushes tonight and see if they’re both still actually alive – one definitely is, but I’m not sure about the other one.

Oh, poor Mr Bon. Getting wisdom teeth out isn’t nice, as you know.
I won’t expect him to be all full of good cheer then.

I’m looking for a new housemate at the moment and current one moves this weekend, so I may need to be here, or may need to meet a potential housemate and show them the house, but if I possibly can I’ll come over.

I shouldn’t be online, I should be doing that design, but I’ve just finished raking up all the leaves again and was seeing if there were any new people on the housemate site I’ve been looking on and thought I’d drop in here. Off again now…design must be done.

Okidoke – if you do have to stay home, it would still be OK for us to drop the Dracaenas over to you, right? :)

You’ll have to send us your new address some time..

You guys coming over would still be fine. I just might have a potential housemate here at the time, that’s all.

If you still have my old address, just come there and drive two houses past it and you’ll be at my new place, LOL! Look for the white picket fence and plumbago hedge down the driveway. If not, I’ll email it to you or call you.

Oh, another question.. I have about 5 or 6 episodes of Around the World in 80 Gardens saved up for you – which I will try to get on to CD/DVDs before Sunday.

Will you be watching them using a DVD player & TV, or on a computer??

Just there is a different process to burn them depending on how you want to watch them… :)

Well….given that my puter is old and doesn’t play DVD’s ( I don’t think. Do you need a program installed to watch them?) and I don’t have a DVD player, I’m not sure. I might have to buy a DVD player.

I will ask Mr Bon for some advice on what format would be best…

Mr Bon thinks DVD format would be the most flexible.. maybe if your computer refuses to play them you could watch them at a friend’s place rather than having to buy a DVD player?

(Hmm.. We have a DVD player/HDD Digital recorder sitting in the study waiting for us to delete everything on it and give it away.. want to be on the shortlist when we get around to that??? :) I was just going to FreeCycle it otherwise!)

Hey Horty..

Just tried to put the Around the World gardening shows on a DVD for you.. it spent about 6 hours getting to 35%, and then it died :(

Umm.. reckon you’ll be free for six one hour visits sometime?? :)

Better pencil it in for August.. hehe :)

Bloody CDs and DVDs never work for me =/ Ruined a perfectly good blank DVD yesterday too – just tried to burn some photos onto it from my laptop. Tried again from Mr Bon’s laptop on another blank DVD… no problem. Gah.

Yep :) By the way, just in case you decide to try it out – this is the lady I get my henna from:

http://www.hennamoon.com.au/ (website is mostly finished but not quite)

If you want a really red red, the Dark Red is awesome – only drawback is, with this particular colour (due to the added herbs to make the henna redder) it continues to leach out when your hair is wet.. so when you wash your hair or go for a swim you just need to use a dark towel. I never found it a problem though, it happens less and less over time.

Or you can use the pure henna (easier to put in and MUCH easier to wash out, and no leaching) a few times in quick succession to build up a to a deeper red.

I was quite keen until you mentioned how much effort it is to put in and get out. My interest kind of waned given the length of my hair but I have bookmarked the site in case I change my mind, ta. :)
