Are there different kinds of unconsciousness, or unconscious states?

Like injury or drug related might be different or different levels of responsiveness

yes

coma is one, (Injury)
anesthesia is another (Drugs)

I was reading one of the articles on Consciousness and one mentioned minimal awareness

Some people can come back to life after death, its rare but happens

Another kind of unconscious state ?

neutrino, I got the impression you’d been studying consciousness for a while, now things have moved on to shades of unconsciousness, which, I ask, isn’t it like studying up for years, then asking what down is?

Awareness of gravity is linked to perception and perception is linked to awareness which is linked to consciousness.

Unconsciousness and consciousness are a part of a spectrum of different levels of awareness.

What is awareness of gravity ?
You might notice lesser or increased gravity but don’t we just go about our daily business not even thinking about it

for the most part it keeps you reliably tied to the earth, + friction, a neat axis for up and down too, but you have a couple of goes on points bong, go arseup facedown into the floor, you know gravity attacks you.

Yeah I was thinking how things spin/shift when you are high

If you become unconscious & fall down you are unaware of gravity’s attack.

No. My father died during an operation when I was a year old. one doctor went to wash his hands, having decided dad was dead, the other surgeon could access the heart because the entire intestinal area was out on the table beside him at the time so he massaged the heart and dad then lived another 16 years. He told me that he was having a dream which he could recount exactly many years later.

My visual awareness of gravity is seeing everything held onto the surface on the planet

I think we feel its effects not gravity itself,

We can walk through space, we cant feel it, but we know its there.

We don’t really think about the atmospheric pressure holding our bodies in.

We are deeply connected to things around us.

Too many “we’s” transition wont be happy.

Quite apart from anything else, there are many different types of sleep.

So the answer to your question is:

YES.

Have a look at nematodes and nematode behaviour.
