My mother had to pass a “what day is it” test for dementia in her 80s.

Oh dear. I have never known what day it is. Even as a kid. I generally ask Mrs V if I need to know. Am I demented?

No. You are simply living what others may call, life.

This is a test for orientation in time. My understanding of Dementia tests is they tend to be more about more complex things like sequence (can you spell the word ‘world’ backwards?) and syntax (use the words ‘stove, kettle, water, boil’ in a sentence), and memory (‘I walked to the shop and bought cheese, eggs, and matches’) kind of crap.
Do any of our regulars specialise in this stuff?
