if it does, egalitarianizes, I see a day societal expectations will have men breast feeding, instead of abs guys will be pumping their mammalian protuberances, with hormones, or whatever.

it’s the way forward, a natural progression of feminism I reckon.

you know the not-over-endowed ladies are playing soccer, cricket etc, so I can see equalizers on the horizon for men.

men will compensate for the mammal denial, the competition between the sexes will be eliminated.

Evidence?

You know there are things called “sports bras”, cause women don’t want their boobies bouncing round all over the place cause it can be rather painful. Bit like your goolies being knocked around a bit.

to get to some real-life examples, consider the discomfort of developing (or well-developed) ladies doing sports.

it’s more thought experiment, teasing out men’s feelings about breast feeding, if they think about it, what happens.

consider a mammal disparity, if you will, of the somewhat (functionally) divergent sexes.

The internet suggests they do and it is possible for males to breastfeed…

of cultural influences, i’m wondering if all the desire for equality, some of it’s competitive, well, take for example the possibility ladies want to be more like men, where does that go? Probably serves men that ladies might compete more intensely with ladies.

so, sexual egalitarianism might intensify competition among or between ladies.

Equality has nothing to do with biology. It has to do with rights and opportunities. I’m not tall enough to be a NBA player, probably lack the basic hand eye co-ordination involved too, but I have the same civil rights as a person who has the appropriate physique and skills…

I imagine the reason women in most cultures didn’t get equal rights was because men could physically dominate them and did so and now brawn is in less demand even that argument has no merit

competetion’s everywhere though, very powerful part of ideology.

clearly I don’t mean an entirely passive sexual egalitarianism, or i’m asking what you get if it were more passive.

it’s probably true that sexual egalitarianism increases competition between ladies. Equality expands the fields they compete in, and intensity too, and there are non-competitive things also (not to be neglected), to the extent there’s anything left of the social world that isn’t influences by ideology, motivating notions around competition for example.

There is a problem with language, as soon as you attempt to describe someone it becomes descrimination.

No matter how you describe them, gender, height, hair style, weight, intelligence, voice, skin colour, ethnicity. It can all be considered discriminatory.

Except on the web, where personal descriptions don’t matter.

no, i’ve been working on a theory of mammal denial for quite a while, of the primate human

if you want equality (that works) the sexes have to to be able to imagine what it would be like to be different, or other.

there’s no question even a modest identification with other requires acceptance of mammal attributes.

sexual egalitarianism includes the thought space of a gender neutralized developmental environment (if you will).

men and women aren’t equal – one excels at their specialisation where as the other doesn’t. you don’t put women into fast moving, dangerous environments, you try not to move them around too much (they are nest builders).

men and women don’t think in the same way – when’s the last time you have ever seen a woman lovingly cleaning the paintwork (and i don’t mean reluctantly hosing birdshit of it or being PAID to do it ) of their car, polishing it etc? Across the span of a humans average lifespan i’d wager no more than 5 times .

without google tell me of one famous female explorer, ok how about another? they don’t exist

to be honest the concerns of another female complaining on the ABC about how they haven’t been awarded some prize or being promoted to CEO falls on deaf ears.

WARNING: anecdotal observation

There were ten of us (5 couples) out camping
we came upon a deep hole carved out by the force of water in the stream
and as we all stood high on the surrounding rocks, the men were all marveling at
and pointing to the various types of largish fish swimming below the surface…
…that were apparently totally invisible to every single female in the group!
When questioned, it seemed no matter how long they stared, all they
could see is the sun reflecting off the surface of the sparkling water.

I surmised men have a greater degree of polarized vision
which gives them a decided advantage AS HUNTERS.
While, women are have a greater the advantage in detecting
stationary objects. (Hence the familiar; “HONEY? Where’s My A-B-C?”
If your socks don’t dart across your path, apparently they’re invisible.)
Which gives women the advantage AS GATHERS. (& shoppers :-P)

They not only have a memory for where they saw some plant
growing at a different season the previous year, but also a catalog
of what that plant looks like at different stages of development
when & how to harvest it AND How to prepare it as food or medicine.

1 + 1 = a potentially viable survival team capable of successful reproduction

…‘nother difference: Men keep the best fishing spot to themselves
whereas women tend to share information, otherwise there’d be the
need to repeatedly re-discover crap as simple as The BUTTON. ;-)
