yes, no, both.
How could a nerve problem be detectable with a blood test?
Btw sciatica has a number of causes and a range of pain origins. Lower back, tight butt muscles etc.
I’ve been calling my lower back and leg problems sciatica, but it’s a self-diagnosis.
Pain goes all the way down the left leg, usually associated with sitting down too much. Also associated numbness spreading through lower back through buttocks and beyond that often sets in when I do finally go for a walk after sitting down too much.
Regular exercise makes it less frequent.

I’ve been having pain increasing increasing in right leg for a month. No sharp pain as expected for sciatica. MRI shows nothing. Gets better only when i sit, gets much worse when i walk. Doctor thinks muscle pain. So not sciatica.
But pain is spreading along the exact direction of the sciatic nerve. From buttocks down back of thigh and more lately onto back of calf and onto outside of ankle. And mrs m thinks i shouldn’t rule it out.

It is a reasonable diagnosis. It can rarely be anything else. A physiotherapist is your best bet.

There are some excellent butt muscle stretches on YouTube. And if you’re ok with lying on your front, get Mrs m to trigger point your butt cheeks. It’ll frigging hurt, but will relieve the tenderness.

Yeah. The best help I got was from the physiotherapist whom described and showed me how to do the exercises.
Physiotherapists are all downright sadists. Even worse than acupuncture, and that’s saying something !
You look at the articles and they say it clears itself up in a few weeks.
