Human Cities Are Turning Some Birds Into ‘Super Colliders’, And It’s Killing Them

Getting around in a city can be a lot more dangerous than wide open spaces, and that, it seems, is true for migratory birds as well, especially if they’re in the habit of calling out to each other at night.

May be a rethink on the surface of glass is needed ?

maybe a glass surface that birds can see ?

a tweak of the glass texture, a tweak on two way glass

I’m sure some tricks could be discovered for a more bird friendly type of glass

perhaps setting the glass back further back

maybe even some camouflage tricks ?

Non lethal birds scarers on the building ?

Like a picture of a predator painted on the building perhaps,

Bird to another bird “Don’t care there that’s one big MoFo of a hawk”

As stated in the video, they only need to turn off the lights, or at least most of them.

Won’t somebody think of the bats. And migrating insects.

Urbanisation is killing off the migrating insects, which is really bad for microbats all around the world.
