9 Aussies Missing
In PNG sorry, plane has gone walkabouts…. I hope the pilot isn’t who I think it is… She flew me to Kokoda once and we aborted one entire flight due to weather and her good judgment. Only to arrive successfully the next morning.

It would be very sad if your right. Just saw the item on the early news. Australia sending lots of help for the search. I hope Longfella is safely at home atm. A worrying time for all the families waiting for some word.

to put your mind at rest, Longy was not part of those who died in that plane crash. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t one of the Aussies planning on walking the track, and his domestic flights in PNG head off in another direction.

I appreciate you assuring me. Thank you PM. I was fairly sure that LF was still in Aus but you never know with you guys.

Actually the female Dr from the Sunshine Coast was known to me but through a 3rd person. Very sad anyway.

And they were Victorians with a Queenslander or two. No Longy wantoks on board. I have asked one of my friends in PNG to check on Jenny Moale, the pilot. I have a photograph of the lady who flew me to Kokoda, and I pray that it is not the same lady…

she has also been called Jenny Moala… but that is not unusual in PNG, the PNGeans don’t care too much for spelling syntax. I have heard that Jenny Moale (Moale is Motuan for Happy by the way) has been flying for 5years but only 6 months in twin engines, so maybe Jenny was not my pilot….

Just been contradicted by the ABC news where the Boss of APNG says that both pilots including Jenny Moale have had more than 6 months experience and are well versed in the Twin Otter operation. The photo they showed looks like the picture I have of Jenny behind the wheel of a Twin Otter.
I’m sad now. But thankful she aborted a flight some 15 months ago.

What ever way….. it is so sad to read of lives being lost anywhere. Let alone when its closer to home.
Almost Mrs. Bimbo is wondering if the helicopter that went down in the Hudson River was the pilot that took her over New York. She said there is only 1 flight thingy that does this.

That’s a long bow. I would think a population of NYC, there would be more than 1 helicopter operator offering the service…. but I could be wrong :(
