Thanks Anne :) I could do with tips for mine, too. I think I’m not giving them enough food – not sure what to give them or when.

(mine are in half-wine barrel pots, not in the ground)

I am experimenting with my wisteria ATM. Heard on bhg that you should only cut the long arching canes back to a third notch. I had been cutting mine back to where ever if they were getting in my road so, not many flowers happening. This year I have taken bhg advice and I am waiting to see the resulting flowers or not. Stay tuned for results in a few weeks.

Actually GA gave the same advice earlier this year so I did that. I am waiting to see if it made any difference. I also read last night (googled) that they take about 7 years to flower; mine has been 6 and 1/2 years so maybe this year?

Mine didn’t take any where near 7 years and has flowered many times before. The flowers have been dwindling in number and I was looking for a remedy to get it up and running again. I thought it was the fact that it is in a lot more shade now than it used to be and it was stopping a full flowering. Anyway that’s why I am trying the 3 notch trick. Hope it works for you too.
