Subject: The train to melbourne

So last night after stacking up on my hallucinogens….

I dreamt I was on board a train with my significant other heading towards Melbourne, the train was rolling along and i was explaining to them that last week i was on the train at this very moment and had played out an entire week but was now back to this very moment on the train. So essentially one time line where the same moment appears for a second time. If you consider time as a rope the time line is curled around so that two parts of the rope meet at the same spot. My time line was a detour from “normal” as i had been on the same train at exactly the same moment – I had then played out an entire week of shopping, eating, sleeping BUT had then ended up at exactly the same time, date, place as the week before.

To me, nothing had seemed out of the ordinary but without realising it I had curled around back to last week – that is, last week and now we’re exactly the same moment.

Other musings in the half sleep state was that time was glued together, if the glue came apart then time lines could diverge that is my time line and the ambient time line around me could separate, I could double back or forward.

Oh dream interpretations. You don’t want to ask me what I think about the real train to Melbourne unless you’re prepared to listen to a few choice swear words.

> So essentially one time line where the same moment appears for a second time.

So far so good.

> My timeline was a detour from “normal” as i had been on the same train at exactly the same moment

You’ve been watching Groundhog Day. Especially as it relates in both cases to “significant other”.

That’s the easiest dream I’ve had to interpret for a long time.

Every dream has two meanings. One on a physical level, based on an actual memory. The other on a cryptic level, a pun or metaphor.

Let’s consider the cryptic level for this one. “Train” has two meanings, obviously enough. Travelling in the same train twice is retraining. Travelling in the same train in a time loop is continual retraining. Add in “significant other” and it means that staying with significant other requires continual retraining.

Nope.

Telly.

That is all.

I’d like to say yes there is that component BUT I have actually been on a train with my significant other years ago. In this case the person is really just a vehicle for me to tell my strange tale. There’s no repeat as it was inferred to me there’s no continous repeat for whatever reason time looped then continued. I don’t travel on trains much. In this case I’m just a passenger BUT the time looping action seems to happen only on the train in motion ????
