When we go to Pepe’s place (twice) we have heard the frogs and boy they are just so beautiful to listen to.:D
I have visions of warm/cool evening, slurping on an icy cold skinny coke, feet up relaxing…….listening to the ribbit…ribbit… ribbit….
Glad you got a good harvest Peps:

thanks lucky – trouble is we become snobs and refuse to enjoy any food but our home grown.

Home grown is worth being snobby over.

the frogs are pretty active and we keep these ponds full for their sake – and to keep a multitude of birds alive – we should ask the government for a eco-subsidy. LOL

the ponds are old metal bath – giveaways – then just rough stone rubble walls. very good and cheap.

my first non-hybrid corn – much stronger taste – but tougher and cheweyer – i like it – will keep some seed.
my wife has had some old silk spun with some wool and is knitting a jumper for herself.

Hate it when the said pumpkins are shown on the news and the winner is sent to an oldies place to be made into soup for them…… poor buggers will be eating orange water for weeks with no taste in it.

Sounds like a Case Moth. This is the Orchard Swallowtail which is the usual citrus pillar.

There’s also one similar called a Dingy Swallowtail that lays on citrus.
the moth that belongs to the citrus caterpillar (i think?) and a little spider that was there whilst i was waiting for the butterfly to arrive

The buterfly looks like the Orchid Swallowtail. Maybe it’s not the mother of the pillar.

the butterfly is the swallowtale i believe and the pillar is the citrus pillar – its just that our pillar has little brown/orange baubles on its back with tiny black spikes coming off each bauble. your caterpillar looks like a cucumber with a red thingy poking out LOL.

Be interesting to see what the crysalus (sp) looks like.
it looks similar to the one you posted in this topic. i saw one when pruning in spring – very well hidden. i thought it might have been a bit bigger with sticks in it but the butterfly had left so it had gaping holes and was a wreck.

I’m going to use the bunny wood shavings as paths in the garden. So I can have some safe spots to walk. Last thing I need to is plant out and forget to make paths.
