Subject: Movie of Maggie the Magpie

Took this movie this evening while feeding the gang.

Maggie comes in twice a day for food scraps for her young. So to make sure she gets something I feed her on the lawn.

Beautiful :) Didn’t get to the end though ‘cause we’re shaped :(

At my dad’s last place, we had a family of magpies who came for a feed, and the head male (called Big Boss) would fly up on to your hand for his feed. Sharp little feet, but they’re all so careful with their beaks when you give them some food.

That’s good Lucky. I’ve never taken the time to watch the magpies in the yard, might do it from now on…loved the bit where she flies up and you think “oh we’ve lost her now” and then she dances up to the nest…
