Anyone here understand this? Obviously there not actually using Majorana fermions. But are they building a metamaterial to imitate Majorana fermions?

No, I’ll guess that they are building a meta-material to host Majorana fermions, but I’m not sure how they are captured or created, does the host material do this, or something else?
