Apologies, i know I asked this last year.

Which anti-malware?

I’m getting spam from Norton saying my subscription has expired. But since they don’t have my credit card details that seems unlikely.

Logged into Norton. No information whatever about which plan I’m supposed to be on or how much it’s supposed to cost.

Whether 1 device security premium at $80, 3 device security premium at $100, Norton 360 at $110?

Ditch Norton https://www.techradar.com/au/best/best-free-anti-malware-software? Just go along with whatever they want me to get? Or investigate further?

The one that comes with Windows is considered adequate for the most part and the free version of Malware Bytes that you use every now and then. I used to use Nod 32 but stops using that when I bought a new computer as the Windows antimalware seem to have vastly improved

Just downloaded and installed Malwarebytes. Ran scan. First time I have used anything other than windows defender on this machine, quite a few years old. 1 “threat” found, but pretty a innocuous one at that. will uninstall Malwarebytes..

Yes, kind of proves defender is adequate enough.

They find PUP’s potential unwanted programs they classify as low level threats
