Got dialup for internet at home, so it goes slower than a wet week.
Have to start a generator to get the computer going … mind you we
recently increased the mortgage to finish the house properly and in
amongst it was 200W more solar panels, so we have 300W now. Just
waiting on another battery and a bigger inverter that we’ve ordered
and I can even run the iron OR vacuum OR washing machine off the solar
panels, wahooie! Only one at a time, though :/ not a state of the art
system by anyone’s standards.

Just started the computer up to print off a train ticket, heading to
Newcastle on Thursday to help my sister move house.

The house is 99% finished. Hopefully today we’ll get the verandah
lined then all that’s left to do is a little bit of architrave,
install the shower screen, the last bits of painting (mostly
architrave) inside the house, and paint the outside. Nearly got one
garden bed/area fenced off from roos and rabbits, should be planting
out berries, asparagus and rhubarb soon, get them out of their pots
after two years in waiting!

Lovely to hear from you, say hello to all on the forum for me – I’m
assuming you still hang out with the old bunch?

Exciting news there!! So impressed with Yeehah’s get up and go :)

She’s always been a go-er, that one…reminds me of when my father had a camp when he was a scrub puller back in the 50’s…you could only turn one light on in the caravan and one light in the mens tent…otherwise the generator would “blow”…the fridge was kerosene and the waterbags were canvas…

I forgot about her birthday, dont know how i can get in contact with her before Thursday should invite her for a cuppa with me and mum.

Lovely to know I’m not a total stranger, there’s still some familiar names here :-)

Am staying at my mum’s house … on the way back from helping my sister move house from Newcastle to Canberra… busy few days, and I’m stuffed! Not allowed to stay up late pigging out on fast internet :P (self-imposed restriction, that one, eyeballs are hangin’ outta my head and I neeeeed a chiropractor after the “beds” I’ve been sleeping on).

Will put some photos on my blog one of these decades, maybe. If I ever do I’ll post a link here. But don’t hold yer breaths.
