Sheesh, don’t show up for months (years?) on end and then you can’t shut me up. Got a friend wanting to plant She Oaks (Allocasuarina litteralis) and says he can’t find info online about the best way.

Any ideas?

If you specifically want Allocasuarina littoralis.. then I can supply them if my seed is still good. I don’t normally plant such trees since I am way outside their area of provenance but special orders are special orders and I have been known to grow specific trees for specific locations well out of my area. I do recommend using a local nursry though. Since they are native to impoverished soils only down the eastern side of Austraia I think you will find that they are not commonly grown in most inland native nurseries. Provenance is important. http://www.metrotrees.com.au/articles/local-provenance-and-the-urban-tree.html

I had no trouble finding Allocasuarina littoralis suppliers on the web.. Whereabouts do you live?

The friend wanting to grow them lives in Canberra. I have no idea what sort of soil he has on his block.
