I couldn’t get to spray the aphids on the corn yesterday, but I hope to do it today…

The KillaSpray was last used to poison the leucaena, which means Roundup was used. The boys rinsed out the bottle and it does not smell (but they knocked part of my lawn around a bit…). Mr D’s advice is to take it to the patch of parthenium in the milking yard, rinse it out again and again over the parthenium, at the same time spraying clean water through the spray wand.

Will just water do? Or should I add a drop or two of the water-based Shell® detergent as well?

Hand spray plasctic bottles for the ironing etc.. are $2 for six at your cheapo store.

Milk or soap are all you need. If you haven’t got a mister.. chuck it at them with a bucket..

Yes high speed water will knock them off.. and they don’t get back up there by themselves.. they need the ants to put them back.

It is a sensible idea to leave the roundup sprayer to use for roundup.

I’ve got a hose head that will do a jet, but I’ll do the milk first and the jet later…

The use of milk or soap is to coat the insects with a layer of fat.. which sufocates them.. so don’t wash them off immediately after you hit them with milk.

I’m so glad you’re on this Forum, RoughBarked…

I was thinking either later in the day, or this evening…keep the ants up all night LOL!!

buy a little 500ml handspray and write ‘pyrethrum’ on the side and use it for nothing else.

I agree what everyone else has said… have a designated Round-up sprayer and the other for your white oil stuff… BUT. If you do have to use the same setup for different things…. triple rinse with water, and then so a mix of cloudy ammonia, and rinse again, and spray through the boom.
