Insert some gluten inside a harmless particle, macrophages eat it, it looks normal so the immune response isn’t triggered. Human trials suggest symptoms are reduced by up to 90%. The same technology could be used for peanut allergies etc.

PS. This only works for some nanoparticles. Most nanoparticles are quickly removed from the bloodstream, which is good news for sunscreens.

Good on the researchers for finding the correct type of nanoparticle.
