Faster-Than-Light Speeds Could Be Why Gamma-Ray Bursts Seem to Go Backwards in Time

Time, as far as we know, moves only in one direction. But last year, researchers found events in some gamma-ray burst pulses that seemed to repeat themselves as though they were going backwards in time.

Superluminal jets from quasars have been known for at least 40 years, but that’s an illusion.

This is claiming a breakdown of General Relativity. Possible through quantum tunnelling, but I’d like to see more reliable evidence before calling it.

The article says it wouldn’t need to break GR.

I think we do need to break GR though.

we wont break GR. any theory that replaces it has to explain all the stuff that GR currently does and more.

So when we have that, GR will be broken.

nah, just like newtonian isn’t broken.

It is broken.

It’s a pretty good approximation, but that doesn’t make it right.

all science is wrong anyway.
