We had a great day today, wandered down to the Australian Institute of Marine Science or AIMS and had a guided tour of the facilities and the fantastic work that this Institute undertakes. And it is in such a pretty location of Townsville. I took some snapshots (of course).

Firstly, here is a pic of the wharf area where we fed some fish and watched a Green Turtle play.

AIMS does look after the big Aquarium, however the site I visited is only open to the public on Friday mornings for a two-hour tour (pssst, its free!) and is primarily their research and laboratory side of things… Its where all the Marine Biologists hang out.
