Nope :) just water. and keep moist, mulched ect.
Well if you get a catterpillar/ bug infestation then a foliar seasol spray won’t hurt.
Mine have apples galore but the birds love them too, so I may throw a net over soon.

nothing’s wrong – so you don’t have to put a soaked cloth on the trunk to stop the coddly – don’t have to spray with bordeaux for leaf curl – you’re sweet.

manure and water, mulch and birdnetting – she’s apples!

(must get that bubbly – er i mean pigeon poo – to ya).

Well the most important thing in our climate is to not allow such exotic species to dry out.

I doubt that I have ever added much at all to my apple tree apart froma good mulching in the beginning and watering at least once a year.
So the mulch is the most impotant part. As with all trees they have to have the ability to get their roots down.

I also allow the weeds like parsley to grow and to shade the ground.

I feed heaps of birds as well as heaps of people off the same tree.

my annual rainfall average is between 12 and 14 inches or 300 – 350 mm.

Even if I do nothing about coddling moth and other pests, I still get heaps of apples, more than I could ever consume.
