That happened to me too. I only posted once in the last couple of days and it never appeared. All those beautifully chosen sentences lost forever. lol.

I’ve had several friends visit, all age related , kids mainly flown the coop, and all whinging about what to do on NYE..we all end up in front of the tele and doing nothing at all. So I’ve planned us a party on the pier at Werribee South. OUR beach that is going to be bulldozed and a multi million dollar marina built, so before that starts I reckon a sort of ‘last hurrah’ party to see the new year in, is appropriate.

I’m the designated driver because all present agreed that the “ last thing HP needs, is to be tipsy on a pier!” LOL!

You all have a great New Year too :D

Hi all,

Hope you are having a nice Christmas Day.

First string of days I have had to get some decent time in the garden since I moved in. But they are forecasting 40 for Monday and Tuesday so we will see how we go :D

TTFN

Take care all!

merry christmas to all yous forum gypsies.

we have started eating early here. beautiful little tarty things, champagne cocktails, rumballs and the leg of lamb is cooked and half has been ‘tasted’ already. it’s debatable if we will have lunch at this rate.
the dogs are getting tipbits and the rabbits carrot thinnings – so what can i give the chookies?

anyrate – stay relaxed – merry xmas.

Lunch of Roast Turkey, Pork and Ham plus plenty of salads have been consumed at friends. Bless ‘em. A few light ales and a wander home. Now it is Rancho Relaxo and a few phone calls to friends and family, before a small dinner here at home…

Merry Xmas to one and all!

HO HO HO
Merry Christmas.

Our picnic was fab and we’ve had drinks with the neighbours.

Did you know that in Holland Santa’s helpers have black faces (think Black and White Mintral Show if you’re old enough) who are actually his slaves. They are all called Black Peter and if you’ve been bad they steal you away in their sack and take you to Spain. TRUE

I saw Santa at a party in PNG and he had a black face. All the white kids were confused.

Jingle bells jingle bells ! We had a terrific Christmas, fabulous meal and lots of fun :) Although not one of us, and there were 14 people, stuck to the kris kringle single gift giving thing. In fact we all used it as an excuse to give an additional pressie! There was much laughter about that.
The tiramusu cake was an absolute hit :D It was so big people got to take home a large piece of it as well.

I got a cooks blow torch , (here comes creme brulee :D and ,look out anyone who messes my kitchen up! LOL) , the Masterchef Australia cookbook, 2 wire chook ornaments, a hen and a rooster, they’re gorgeous!, chocolates ..and a box of mushrooms , from a relatives friend.. these fungi are mostly big as saucers and would be great for stuffing. But I want to preserve some as I’m the only mushroom eater and I can’t eat them all.
Looks like I’ll be making mushroom butter sauce and freezing it in lots.

Any mushroom suggestions very much appreciated!
