I think rebuilding Australia’s ecology needs more than planting a million trees.

We need to plant more like a billion trees?

We need to replant flowering plants for bees

We need breeding programs for all flora and fauna, birds, fish and insects

And stronger building laws for people building in dense tree areas.

Okay.

I mean at the moment we can’t get people to take basic steps so I’m feeling a bit jaded about suggestions of ambitious programs.

Yes, that’s a bit problematic at the moment, simple lists like current problems and another for current solutions are too difficult.

PM’s believing in things that don’t exist, uneducated people in politics, greedy people who want larger homes, larger families, larger cars, larger supermarkets, larger TV screens etc.

The doomsday clock been moved closer to midnight, fires are still burning, a virus is spreading….

MAR’s is taking job applications so maybe some people could apply for that.

Or better, stop bushfires and let the trees plant themselves.

They’re very good at doing that.

And the wildlife will follow.

I’ll say. People must clear all flammable trees from all around their houses.

My plans for rebuilding Australia’s ecology include:

1) Banning light pollution. Light pollution kills all night-flying insects, and by extension kills bats and all night hunters of insects.

2) Banning noise pollution. This interferes with all animals that have a mating call.

3) More fresh water. Watering stations for native animals.

you need to stop importing millions of people every few years to prop up a dying economy. australia destroyed its manufacturing base and decided to replace it with immigration thus fuelling the house building explosion – they bulldoze habitat to build houses. the developers eat the land to build more houses.

the gov drops thousands of tonnes of 1080 – a deadly poison used to lace baits to kill pest animals – of course thousands of peoples pets and untold millions of livestock and native animals have been killed by this spiteful and malicious crap. the new zealanders have thrown so much of it around its entered the honey they sell. if you want to rebuild the ecology stop the poisoning.
