College course on “adulting” so popular it’s now turning students away
Now in its second year, a UC Berkeley basic life skills class has become so popular that it’s had to turn 200 wannabe adults away. The eight-week pass/no pass course teaches young people how to be more responsible and grown-up, ie. how to “adult.” They learn how to budget for food, do taxes, manage relationships, and more.

The ownership of ideas has to change
professional science has to deal with jealousies where people want to appropriate the ideas and research of others
jealousies like that impede science
these jealousies can be dealt with by education
through emotional awareness and control from K1 to K12 +

Most of that is pretty easy except for managing relationships, which is impossible.
I’ll be setting up a rival Death Skills Education.

I was given some pretty good advice on how to view a relationship discussion in the past and it did make some sense then and now.
Usually people will say to another person or persons that they did something and etc in blaming manner rather than explaining certain actions of cause an individual to feel a certain way. It then gives the other person or persons and opportunity to weigh up whether their actions should be reconsidered when reflecting upon how others may be affected by those choices … rather than just blaming people which usually escalates into conflict or defensive arguments and/or retaliation.

this is the sort of thing parents should be modelling and teaching..
relationships are easy, just find the person whose worst habit you can put up with the longest and expect no one to stay the same as they were when they were 20

Ideally yes parents should be the ones to do it
however, not all parenting is the same, some if it is good, some of it is negligible .

There are still people throwing cigarette butts from cars.
Education can help.
Changing cultural attitudes can also help.

If there was a course on “how to make things”, I’d be there in a jiffy.
