Quiet night at home, just the 2 of us……

Same for us, we’ll do our celebrating tomorrow with the family :)

I’d prefer to stay in, but we’ve been invited to a BBQ. Will be much later than everyone else – it starts at 4 and I’m at work, so..

Bit grumpy that I have to drive :( Don’t mind when it’s not far but late at night and a long drive.. yuck.

Drinks and nibbles on the verandah of some friends, who live just around the corner.

Stay home and enjoy viewing the fireworks over on the other side of the harbour in Albany.. Oh I forgot also enjoy a glass of red-ned..

I am cooking up a storm for the 2 of us.

Roast chicken seasoned with macadamia nuts and sage
Seasoned roast turkey boob with cranberry stuffing
Pork stuffed too,.

All 3 pieces are a nice size and we’ll have lots of cold meat for a few days.

Pudding…..and then a sleep:D

and your new-years-menu? .. I guess mine will be something like boxed fish ‘n noodles.. okay it isn’t that flash.. but.. I like boxed fish.. may also have some cheeese ‘n cracker.. I really should cut back on the amount of cheese I eat .. medical problem…bugger

Growing up we used to have a big family get together with roast with the works. One year we went to elf’s parents and we had sandwiches for lunch…. elf’s mum was a sickly woman and it was all she could manage.

It just didn’t feel right and I am sure I starved for the rest of the year….lol

I have to have a good lunch on NYD…. to eat well for the rest of the year…… I think my brain just slipped a gear:(

Yous already know what I’m doing so I won’t repeat. But I’m having a dilemma about what to wear in a spa..I don’t own bathers (God forbid!) or shorts..
So I have on a pair of hubbys boardshorts that are 10 sizes too big and I pulled the drawstring right in. I look ridiculous with my matchstick shins , and it’s very windy!! LOL

Ooooh, thanks for reminding me! Place I am going tonight, they have a spa but it has never been filled.. however last time we saw them they said they hoped to have it full and ready for NYE. Next question.. am I going to wimp out again because of all the “germs” – hopefully not since the place shouldn’t be chokkers with babies. It was a bit offputting last time we went to a place with a pool – stacks of babies and mums there and every single one of them had either recently had, or still had, gastro..

Well, my plans went awry and I was watching Micallef’s New Year show and fell asleep on the couch between 11pm and 1am, just long enough to miss all the fun, LOL! Then woke up with a vengeance, buggerdammit, nearly 5am and thinking surely I must get tired soon…if I do I’ll vanish before I reach the top of the LHS…

we went to Avatar and thoroughly enjoyed it.
probably the best creation of an alien world ever seen on the screen. the native savages are the good guys and it does have an environment message.
