first image looks like a whistling duck to me (Australian native duck)

Thank you thank you. I thought it might be plumed whistling duck. Only rarely seen in Perth apparently, more common further north in WA.

I think you’re right that 2nd is striated pardalote. 3rd possibly.

we don’t get sparrows in WA. well, rarely and then we shoot them.

Yes please. I’ll add a few more in next post.

In all, saw 79 bird species in the 3 weeks in Perth. The column “bird count” is from the Aussie Backyard Bird Count for Western Australia.
The column “total” is the number of different locations where I saw the bird. Oh, add a third fairy tern location, also need to check on cattle egret.
