Subject: Commercial videophone in 1936

The first successful demonstration of video telegraphy came in 1927 when Baird operated his 20-line mechanical TV over a phoneline from Glasgow to London.

However the first commercial was in Germany in 1936. The post office operated a video telegraphy service between major cities. This was an fully electronic 420 line system with CRT receivers. It operated until 1940.

Pretty easily.. my bro is doing it.. “Curve that 5th finger… Play that scale 20 times each hand, then hands together” etc..

A lot easier than than teaching skydiving..

Having tried a number of video-conference systems in recent times, I’d recommend zoom as easy to use, easy to set up and free for 1:1 use.
