I’ve been wondering too. What you up to LF. You know you’re supposed to check with me before any leave of absence.

Goin good Pepe. Tomatoes have finished but new crops on the way. Excellent chillies. Jalapeno and Ancho. Yummo. Gherkin are done. Pickled in bulk. Beans done with replacements nearing harvest time. Spuds everywhere still. Feral and planted. First crop of sweet corn is underway. Another to follow soon.Lots of feral lettuce, pak choy and other self seeders under the trees at the back of the beds. Gonna rip into a few beds today and clean them up. Turn some compost.
Old brown dog is still kickin. Unbelievable.
Camping was good. Caught an Eastern cod. Protected species. Bugger. About 10lb i reckon. Seeyalater big fish.
No perch. Went canoeing down the rapids and capsized. Twice. Excellent fun. Lost my thongs and spilt my coffee.. Bugger. Had a few tubes. Cooked on an open hearth. Leg of lamb in the camp oven.
Awesome. The country up there had 150mm of rain a few weeks back and it is in excellent condition.
I slept on the ground with a few old sheets from the ragbag for bedding. They’re back in there now. Didn’t change clothes for a few days. Just swam occassionally and cleaned the fangs. No phone. No internet. No worries.
Update completed 10:03hrs.

You must be relaxed Longy. Who else would drink coffee going down the rapids?

sounds like heaven, except the sleeping on the ground bit. my poor old body can’t cope with that any more. Actually, I don’t think it ever could…

I planted this lot on Xmas day, after i went and picked up the Mrs prezzy from Coffs Harbour. Germinated in 3 days. They are getting their first flowers now. So it’s a little over 3 weeks. Should harvest in 2 weeks i guess. So 5-6 weeks from seed would be about right.

LOL. Yeah it was going well until we went under the overhanging tree. Managed to grab my now empty coffee cup in the swirl but the thongs are gone. The canoe was fully inundated. Had to drag it onto some rocks and empty it. Second time, we hit a rock and got sideways. Bloody hilarious. I’ll pay more attention if we go in Winter tho!

Maybe put the coffee in a spill proof baby bottle and tie it around your neck. That’d work.

8 weeks is pretty well a minimum around here. germination is seldom less than 7 days.

I had it in one of those travel mugs but it went overboard. Oh well. Next time i’ll concentrate harder.
