Just wondering what kind of figures we will see in May in places like Africa , Bangladesh , India etc .
Basically countries that are high density population , low GDP poor health infrastructure .
I dare say figures are quite high now , but if you cant test you cant know.

Very little so far, except in the very north of Africa, eg. Egypt is somewhat affected.
Let’s see what I wrote a week ago. Nothing significant in Nigeria, Ethiopia or Congo, and they’re three counties in the top 16 largest populations in the world.
I really had expected Nigeria to be badly hit, as it is the least healthy county in the whole world, with India second, IMHO.
Let’s see how the death tolls have increased since last time I looked.
Egypt, up from 135 deaths to 307.
Nigeria, up from 7 deaths to 35.
Congo, up from 5 deaths to 6.
Ethiopia, steady on 3 deaths.
Egypt, number of new deaths each day seems to be flattening out.

Nigeria, not looking so good.

As for India, I’ve been tracking that. It’s not doing too badly.
Bangladesh, still only 140 deaths.
A simple take-home message from all this is that high density population, low GDP and poor quality of medical care have SFA to do with how severe the Covid-19 infection is. For instance, people in those countries may already have immunity because of their poor health care.
