Probably should start by counting all the parts.

Stool assembled. A rather dark snap.
The lever assembly was supposed to be attached to the underside of the seat with 4 x screws, but I could only use 3 because one of the holes was badly misaligned.

Well done.
How much?
And could I put this together?

Did you get out the drill and make a new hole?

Very cheap indeed ($49.90 reduced from $116, free delivery).
It was easy to put together apart from the one screw that didn’t fit, but it’s strong enough as is.

No because the holes are metal-threaded for the bolts.
Seems perfectly strong with 3 instead of 4.
