Anna got a cake from Paddy ‘cos he still hasn’t left them after his visit earlier in the year, due to being delayed by her operation and then the coranavirus :)

But he’ll be heading back to Melbourne soon.

That is quite impressive bubblecar. Is this the son of the sister that really enjoys cooking?

They all enjoy cooking, but yes, the oldest one is the real cookery expert.

I got a message back on my phone from my mother on account of me being at work Mother’s day that she loved her pressie. She is still doing rehab on one of her arms and doesn’t have full rotation of the shoulder as yet. She lives in a mountain range region and winter is quite cold , so I decided to get her a mohair like poncho that can be put on easily and long enough to be a like a blanket to snuggle her during the day doing her things and at night time before bedtime , when she is settling in with some knitting or a good book. She was quite chuffed.

That is definitely a small sample size, but it must be about average for the population

I had a nice mothers day.. started with an amazing breakfast in bed and then the kids and I, my sister and my niece and her kids went and surprise mum (who has not seen any of us for seven weeks) and took her lunch (we did the fishbowl thing where we stayed outside and she was inside and just a couple of us went in at a time (the limit here was five people inside and ten outside) We ate, cleaned up and were gone in about two hours… but it was nice for mum to see the kids/ grandkids/ great grandkids after so long of not.

I would have taken SM too if I could have.

There was a time in my life when I got my mother a plant she didn’t know anything about. It made it hard for me to be wrong until she did the research.
