H.R. GIGERTHE ART OF BIOMECHANICS

from link

This video is an experiment in the longer form so it’s very different from my earlier and very popular, H.R. Giger – Alien Visions video. Here I’ve tried to show a carefully selected, broader sampling of Giger’s art while giving an insight into his world and his work. The video is intended to be a Full HD visual and aural experience. A visual poem for the viewer to totally immerse themselves in with it’s recurring, morphing themes and motifs. Your comments and feedback are appreciated.

I’ve somehow avoided noticing Giger’s work up till now.

Will have a proper look later.

From a very quick skim through, Salvador Dali comes to mind.

He’s my favourite artist, not everyone’s cup of tea though

In his day he did some custom work for musicians, album covers, mike stands, etc

A 2 second look at the video and I believe he did the art for “Brain Salad Surgery”.

Never heard of him/her/it. Oh wait, “designs for the movie Alien”, yes I have heard of him/her/it.
Not my cup of tea.
Too much nightmarish art based on death and torture out there. Far too much.
