Magnetic north is migrating towards Siberia. Here’s why

The North Pole ain’t what it used to be. Well, the geographic North Pole stays fixed over time (mostly because we define it to stay fixed over time) but the magnetic north pole constantly moves.

Now that I would not have guessed. If true, then polar wanderings in the past would tend to be aligned to an axis between these two blobs, wouldn’t they?

I see that hey are aligned. Also, the speed of polar movement has increased enormously lately.

Anyone want to blame global warming? (runs away).
