Well, I was impressed by her beehive shaking and she wasn’t too worried. I wouldn’t go as far as to say she was unflappable , as much if the media did, there was a moment where she looked quite concerned, but she rode through it well and continued to do her job.

This is impressive because she was professional, showed a human response and remained calm, then got on with the job without making anything about her.

Gold.

In times of crisis Jacinda seems to show empathy and appears to act decisively while keeping everyone informed. Only history can judge if the choices Jacinda makes have overall positive effects but at least she makes them quickly. Jacinda has made some miss steps along the way but her overall image, at least externally, hasn’t suffered too much from them…

Was on track to possibly lose the upcoming election, although that’s not going to happen now. In Feb the Nats were about 5 points clear in the polls.

Is in a coalition with the NZ First party which normally would send most people here into a tail spin for their stance on immigration and gay marriage etc.

She’s done an excellent job during this crisis, no doubt about that, but she’s not the messiah.

I mean, I’m sure she’s not perfect.. but she is doing a damn fine job..

“Choosing to “go hard and go early”, Ardern imposed a 14-day quarantine on anyone entering the country on 14 March and implemented a strict lockdown two weeks later, when fewer than 150 people had been infected and none had died. New Zealand has recorded just 18 deaths; public trust in Ardern’s government is greater than 80%.”

her public are applauding her.. Alan Jones’ opinion of her can also fuck off is not that significant.

On the contrary.

Anything that Jones says with conviction can be used as a pretty reliable indication that the opposite is true.

Really?

Alan Jones’s ongoing campaign on coal seam gas — his Press Club speech yesterday was more or less a reheat of his extended railing on the issue on his radio program — has produced more than just the unusual sight of a Greens-Jones unity ticket.
