There’s some grunting noises to be heard… still awaiting the final grunt from a pair of grunting princesses, one who should have my money this morning and the other who has the keys to the Kingdom of Mangolia.

I can hear someone on a Stihl Air Blower… time for me to get my Ryobi Weed Wacker out, and get stuck into the yard… Gotta clean up before I scarper…

how many kms away is the new place from where you are now?
are you getting the removalists in?
are the roads flooded at present?
any rate -stay cool and make sure you remember where the scotch is so you can toast to a successful transplanting.

bluegreen got it closest… Here’s the saga, well the latest in a long string of sagas, it’s called “Songs for the Deaf”… last Thursday I spoke to my bank about the fastest way I could get my money into a trust account, so she emailed me the paperwork, just about the same time she logged off to go home. I filled out paperwork and returned her email.

She had Friday OFF! So when I checked Friday afternoon, nothing had happened. Well we spoke this morning and she said it is being processed this morning, should appear as a deduction in my account within 45minutes and in the trust account early this afternoon.

Nope. Hasn’t left my account yet, and apparently it is now up to the trust to accept the transfer and process it at their end. Hasn’t happened yet. I still have around 3 hours for this to happen, so fingers and everything I have two of, are now crossed.

4 postcodes away…
No removalists this time, GF has been packing over the last few weeks and the last little bits and pieces are going into boxes now. This is our 6th move in the last 9 years and we have had removalists in for three and we have done the others ourselves. This time I have hired a Truck which I shall pick up this afternoon.
no flooded roads, you’d struggle to find a wet gutter anymore, okay maybe a few puddles are still in some paddocks, but this place sucks up water like a sham-wow
the Scotch is at the Bottle Shop, have been avoiding the Purchase of a bottle in fear of drinking it everytime a hiccup has occurred, would’ve bruised many a bottle by now! Although we have been celebrating the odd victory with a few bubbles.
And we always stay cool, despite the sunshine and humidity!

You might need to trade in your old PC screen for a Big Arsed LCD to capture the whole story!

No rest for the wicked it seems… The house we were in is owned by a friend of mine who is now overseas and we were housesitting while we found our own. It seems in the 48 hours we have been gone, someone has broken into the old empty house. So I spent a day with the Police Reports, Forensic (fingerprinting), and a Glazier.

Grrrrr!!!!

Oh for crying out loud! what do they do, watch you move from behind curtains? Oxygen theives grrrr.

It’s happened to me too as I was moving, they tried to burn the old place by setting a phone book alight on the stove that I’d spent hours cleaning, and kicked out walls we’d just repainted.
Arseholes.

Karma will get ‘em.

I’m not happy about the events that took place…. I now kinda feel like I need to build a huge concrete wall with razor wire and electric fencing like I had in PNG, with guard dogs and armed security staff. I felt sick when I returned to the house to see the screens off the windows and the glass open. yuck.

my parents’ house was once robbed and there is a feeling of invasion. i’m sad that such an event should mar the grand opening.

usually thieves break in just after someone moves in, but this sounds like it was just for vandalism :)
