Did start trimming beard but decided I’ll wait until cases start appearing here again before I shave the whole thing off. N95 cost $5 each. Don’t want to be tossing that much dinero away every day for no reason.

It’s not really about you being protected. It’s about you not coughing/sneezing all over other people. If you are properly social distancing normal breathing is not a problem.

Please note I haven’t read any posts since last night, so I may have completely the wrong end of the stick here, reading one post on its own.

That’s not actually true. During lockdown I caught two colds from people that I never passed within 5 metres of.

In both cases I passed through a place that the person had been standing about ten seconds before.

As for wearing masks properly, essential. My best mask is supported off the upper lip. So moustachios are a no-no.

I don’t think any of us here are doing surgery. We don’t need surgical level protection for our patients. Who we don’t have. We need simply to minimize the spread of our breath a bit. And that is easily achieved with a basic mask/bandana etc. Don’t get overthinking the level of protection. This bug is easily spread, but hand washing and basic courtesy is plenty for most people. The masks are useful, but not something to overthink.

most likely kids OR people who have kids

they always want to try and hand you their sick babies

you quickly jump back, smile and tell them you are sick at the moment and don’t want to make their precious sprogs sick

stay away from kids and their mothers and you’ll be just fine.

after spending 9 months in an environment AWAY from office chicks who have kids i didn’t get sick ONCE, as soon as i returned i got sick within weeks.

The basics are always the importance.
