No still here lol. the planet that is. I’ve been wandering around aimlessly trying to work out where to plant the dwarf valencia. I don’t want it near a fence or wall, so for the meantime I’m going to pot it up. Then when I haven’t so many vege beds going ( might be a few years lol!) then I’ll give it it’s own spot in the sun.

Oh another “ponger”…….lol

Elf was kind enough while I’m inside making buns and such, he cut or pulled out the weeds in the area between the no-dig and the neighbour’s fence,

When the rain comes (it better come too) I ‘ll be able to sow root crop seeds and such.

That’s awlriiight, sitting here trying to accept the fact I might have a 2lt bottle of soured milk…the tops were faulty…I thought I got the shopping accomplished earlier in the day…we are on a “bus car” system as the driveway is soggy again…minimal trips in the car down the driveway and all aboard who’s got to go to town for the day…can’t ride my bike as the mud sticks and the wheels won’t go around after a while…but hey all rain is good and I am smiling…

Mud is alright I spose… got very muddy on the bike this morning. Pity there was granite mixed with the mud and that ended up in my shoe.

Pong,
Yes I’ve been outside most of the day pulling up armfulls of grass from beds and between pots :( This has been ongoing for weeks now and I’m ticked off with it. I have found a supplier for Fusilade which is a herbicide that won’t kill anything but grass. I’ve read a few success stories about it on rose forums. I’m generally against spraying weedkillers but the time has come for me to bite the bullet. I need to take out a mortgage to pay for it though, it’s really exxie.

i think it might be us stupid humans.
we all congregate at a popular bar. and down the street an equally good bar is deserted.

so – if we are all arguing and debating and giggling on the forum it is buzzing – but if no-one is around then no-one else will pop in .

makes sense to me LOL

i bet you wouldn’t.
how many times have you waited in line because you reckon everyone congregates at the best place – be it fish and chip shop or chocolate seller?
how many times have you bought something in a deserted shop only to find that, as you walk out, other people are following your lead and going where someone else has gone before?

i have to laugh nowadays at all these political interviews where there are people behind the speaking politician nodding. the subliminal message is, that if all these people agree, you should too. a mob of sheep we are LOL.

You’d lose your bet, but I see your point :) (loud crowd noises trigger my anxiety, so I avoid crowded shops etc)

there is validity in your point to an extent pepe… often on holidays with family when I was younger, we would sometimes drive to a location beit scenic/touristy/foody/or all of the above and we often thought “hey we’re the only car in the carpark!” and then attend such location only to return to the carpark later and say“look at all these cars now! They only showed up because we came first”

however, today, if I saw a restaurant/bar/pub with a queue and an empty one down the road, I would bee-line for the empty one. I tend to go to pubs/restaurant for a feed and a beer, not to stand in line; just like I don’t go to the airport for a coffee. I went to the Royal Adelaide Show as a youngster, and stood in a crowded queue to look at a man selling cheap plastic sold to the throng in a cheap plastic bag, yet I could walk up to a cow that was 15times by size and pat it on the nose; and I could watch a fat Tasmanian chop wood.

The next time I went to the show, I gave my little sister some money so she could stand in line for my cheap plastic and I went off to the animal pavilion.
