A new study out suggests that the problems associated with statin are a figment of most people imagination.
I can only relate my own experience with them. After I had that little incident of dying I was placed on statins ate a reasonably high dose. I’d never read up on them and had no idea that there were potential side issues with there usage. In short, I was completely oblivious to the good or bad with them. I started jogging again and that’s where I learnt that there could be issues. I would get a few kilometres in and then cramp, and I mean a huge, muscle contorting type cramp. I then started to cramp up early morning, just lying in bed. One minute asleep the next grabbing at my calf in extreme pain. The first time that happened in bed SWMBO thought I was having a heart attack.
I went to my gp who told me that some people experience side effects and changed the brand and the dosage. That seemed to sort out the issue for the most part.
