Hello from me to all of ewe lot:)

I am going to be here but not here if you know what I mean.

Kids came over last night for tea and I showed Bimbo the sash she had me make for the end of the church pew. Great she said…very happy.

Thing is its not 12 she wants….but 36 of them…….. Holy crap!!!!!! They are fiddly and time consuming.. I have Pa coming soon….so I am going to see you when I can.

I’ll miss you all heaps and I have to go now and make like a sewing mum….lol

Pesto is made. Been trying to get to that for about 4 days. I love it. Nice when some pasta has been cooked and tossed is some of the pesto for a quick lunch.

Cats fed and tea is on cooking.

Made another sash. Did I tell you what she wants them for???????

Hoping to make 3 tomorrow.

My next 3 days are follows.

More sashes tomorrow, plus a walk to the shops to stretch my back..

Saturday…………. putting meters of tulle on AMB’s hooped pettie coat.

Sunday…. putting lace on an apron for AMB for all the girls at her Kitchen Tea to sign. My niece (her main bride’s maid) dropped off for me to do.

Then Monday, back to the sashes….will try on Sunday to get some sashes done.

I have 7 of the 36 done so far.

I am sitting and watching “Supernatural” DVD while I do some stitchery.

Well the trip to the church was worth its weight in gold.

Only need to make 28 and not 36 sashes for the pew ends. Spending tomorrow on the petticoat as AMB had a look at one in the bridal shop and I have a plan to work on now.

Finished an apron for the morning Kitchen Tea, for everyone to sign on the day:)

Am I the only person who does 15 minutes in the garden, goes “oh god, that was haaaaaaaaaaaaaard”, and comes in for a rest? :D

My excuse is that I still haven’t gotten my stamina back since the illness (can only walk for an hour or so now compared to about three beforehand) – not sure how long that excuse will hold.. :D

mine is I am always on the go and I need to get into the habit of gardening again. So I thought the best time is while Pa is here.

Pa can come with us to the toy shop and take his time looking at plants. I an talk gardening with him and he can sit outside and keep me company while I plant out the seedlings:)

I’m afraid to go out in the garden for getting caught up doing things, and then wanting to finish it and then I want to admire it and that spurs me on to do other things and not go back inside, lol!

Yeah, I have seen reports that it stretched as far north as Luckyland. There’s a Happy Valley and a Hope Valley in Adelaide. I always used to get the two confused…. bit like Morphettville and Morphett Vale.

Thanks for all the nice words on the bimbo……

I’m running on diet coke and for relief I’m playing a game on Face book, where I don’t have to click every time I want something done….. sure beats farming games…lol

I can built a castle over so many hours on 1 click…unlike the farms….click until ya blue in the face.

Last day for Bimbo at work until after her honeymoon…..

2 rows of tulle for the pettiecoat on Saturday.

16 of the 28 sashes for the pews done. I did 5 today. Cut up 5 last night.

Tomorrow we strip the sewing room and hide all the gear elsewhere in the house. Make up the single bed (friend of our’s wielded the base of Jimbob’s bed) so Pa will have a proper bed and not a fold down couch. Like I said have to hide all the stuff from my sewing room….. look out gym….

Pa is here 7 pm on Saturday, so need the last of the sashes cut and the trestle table can leave the house and back into the shed.

The I can sew them in the rumpus room where my sewing desk will be.

Like I said running on diet coke.

Tomorrow morning….music blasting and giving the house the once over…..

I was thinking of you today and was wondering how the sewing was going. All done with days to spare! Well done. Glad your Pa is enjoying his visit, but he would have no matter the weather I am sure.

Thanks Bluegreen….. we do the wedding practice Thursday night and then a meal afterwards with the wedding group.

Look what Pa bought me today…… Last visit he wanted to get me a new laptop and I said no…..so this time round we were in Spotlight today and he bought this.

Photobucket

Totally blew me away… when he did.

The old second hand desk from when the kids were in primary school is out the front with a sign on it…“free”.

I feel so spoilt for it:)

what a lovely gift! I have one that I got second hand. They make it so easy if you have to pack up your machine to make room for a guest. I bet you feel real special now, and rightly so. You deserve it with all that you do.

Thanks……..I can’t stop smiling….. Pat is putting the back table to it now…that hangs down the front when not needed. So egg-cited about getting it.

yes. I unplugged it and took it outside to cool down, then took it to a repair man. When he checked it out it still ran, but you could smell it heating up. Will know the damage in a few days.

it was very strange at the time but I got the impression the service man had come across this a number of times and seemed to know my machine well. I have had it 26 years without problems until now so it was overdue for a service!

Oh yeah the elf picks up his hire suit tomorrow at 1.30 our time…… looks like Rusty Crowe in it…long hair and unshaved face the night he picked it.

So many people say he should get his hair cut and such… as AMB said (and me too) …won’t be her dad walking her down the isle if the hair is cut short. She only saw him in a suit the other week for the first time ever.

if AMB wants his hair to stay long, he should keep it long.

There is a pipe organ (huge one against the wall) going to playing all music for the service.

I’m doing the first reading and the RESPONSORIAL PSALM as well. (copied & Pasted) .. very proud of this, as all my family will see how good of a reader I am.

Yeah…. live band and not a disjocky at the reception, too.

This wedding is going to be so different to the others we have had so far in my brother and sister’s kids wedding. For the people who have met Amy, you know what she’s like….

For the people who haven’t…… Amy is a girl who doesn’t do things in half measure:)

Pa’s present is bought.

Elf has his suit in the house…..

Home now for the rest of today….. pumpkin soup for tea tonight (home made) and the chicken & vegies for tea

One thing about this week is….I’m sleeping as I am stuffed each night.
