Subject: White Noise & Muffled Hearing

One thing I’ve been hearing much in this household over the past several months is: white noise, chiefly in the form of recorded rain sounds such as:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPZkdNFkNps&t=619s

…and similar offerings I’ve saved to the computer and also transferred to the phone, to listen to in the bedroom through the speakers in there.

Why? Chiefly to block out any local barking dogs and other intrusive noises, when I’m not in the mood for listening to music. But sometimes I have the rain going even when there’s also music going.

What I’ve also noticed during this time is increasingly muffled hearing, presumably just due to a build-up of wax.

I’m wondering if excessive white noise might in itself somehow trigger excessive ear wax production. Can’t find anything on the internet suggesting this, so I’m wondering if anyone here has had similar experience.

Age.

> Chiefly to block out any local barking dogs and other intrusive noises

It only takes a little background noise, in the form of white noise or other, to make foreground noises harder to hear. eg. at 3 am I have the TV volume set to 5, and can hear speech quite clearly and the train 5 km away. To hear the same TV program during the day I have to set the TV volume up to 40, or more if it’s raining or aircraft are flying over.

pink noise, or white noise, they are very different, latter’s not very pleasant

two things happen with added sound, you can both simultaneously mask noise and desensitize

White noise is the pleasent one, it puts people to sleep, wind in trees, rain are natural examples, listening to hiss on the radio human made example.

dunno, here’s some of what wiki says about pink noise

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_noise
“..Pink noise or 1⁄f noise is a signal or process with a frequency spectrum such that the power spectral density (power per frequency interval) is inversely proportional to the frequency of the signal. In pink noise, each octave interval (halving or doubling in frequency) carries an equal amount of noise energy.

Pink noise is one of the most common signals in biological systems”

Stop eating / drinking dairy for a few months.

It creates more mucus/ earwax etc

GPs bread and butter is cleaning out old ladies’ ear wax, they might use a metallic hand pump syringe or a small electric pump that flushes out the wax, from what I’ve seen they don’t help and the victim is told by the nurse to use a special oil to help soften it – that doesn’t help either. Other old ladies get ear infections and the GPs torture them by making them put that vinegar mix into their ears that hurts like merry hell. If they are kind they will give them anti biotics.

If you have ongoing outer ear infections squirt colloidal silver solution into your ear with a syringe, you can use it to flush the wax – by that time I’d guess your ear wax is painful – right ? Get a syringe from the chemist and use warm water to flush the wax out ( let it soak for a while). Use the colloidal silver to sanitise and clear ALL bacteria build up. You could 2 drops of tea tree in warm water to flush too ( shake it up into a white mixture).

Eating and drinking dairy is probably the cause of your ear wax.

If you put your head into ANY body of water ( pools, lakes, rivers etc)you should ALWAYS flush the ear canal with a weak tea tree solution or colloidal silver solution flush your throat with clean water.

Swimming pools are a likely culprit for anything from outer, middle and inner ear problems – don’t laugh , really. Bacteria/ virus travel into the middle ear and get into the inner ear causing balance problems and the like. You can knock this for six using the light mix of tea tree solution – the tea tree oil will seep into the middle ear and into the inner ear , probably your brain as well. It seeps into the mucus cavities and onto the back of your eyeballs.

I did a test by using peppermint one day instead of tea tree oil. After getting on the bus and forgetting all about it I suddenly realised the backs of my eyeballs were getting VERY warm, a little panicky I wondered what was going on, the smell of peppermint started draining into my mouth and I suddenly realised that it was like eating a strong mint – your mouth feels warm – except in this case it was the back of my eyeballs. After half an hour it went away.

GPs make lots of money flushing old ladies ears , its a ongoing customer.

Thus there’s no reason to cure them

Once you flush out with colloidal silver ( let it sit) you’ll most likely NEVER have another infection.

My take on it is the anti biotics don’t clear it totally, the silver leaves a residue to continually kill whatever pops up after treatment

Heard some of the most brilliant ambient sound this morning before dawn. After a major cloudburst the wind and rain had stopped and there was just the sound of dam overflows running and a million frogs, crickets, cicadas.. in the distance a cock crowed.

I wish I had some high end recording gear.. parabolic mics etc

Go saddle me the black he said, go saddle me the grey
Sound you not your horns he said lest our coming you’d betray
But there was a man in Lord Barnard’s train who loved the little Musgrave
He blew his horn both loud and shrill. Away Musgrave Away!

I think I hear the morning cock, I think I hear the jay
I think I hear Lord Barnard’s men, I wish I was away
Lie still, lie still my little Musgrave and hug me from the cold
It’s nothing but a shepherd lad a bringing his flock to fold

Is not your hawk upon his perch your steed eats oats and hay
And you a lady in your arms and yet you go away
So he turned her round and he turned her round and then they fell asleep
When they awoke Lord Barnard’s men were standing at their feet
