Why Black Hole Interiors Grow (Almost) Forever

The renowned physicist Leonard Susskind has identified a possible quantum origin for the ever-growing volume of black holes.

I’ll read it properly later, but this bit is not encouraging:

> even though these mysterious, invisible spheres appear to stay a constant size as viewed from the outside, their interiors keep growing in volume

Um, no.

> infalling things never quite reach the mysterious singularity at the bottom

No. They reach the singularity in a small finite time.

> What is the thing which is growing?

Nothing.

Much as I admire Susskind, I think he’s gone too far this time.
