I was just going to drop this in the Meme thread, but think it deserves a thread of its own.

I thought the infographic was pretty selfexplanatory – I just included the link to reference the source.
So is this just one individual?

It is but one person’s objective self-analysis.

Sounds like a bit of a contradiction in terms there.
all potential conflicts of interest must be actual
I suppose the Holiday Forum counts as social media.
Various perspectives out there.
Why Quitting Social Media May Not Make You Happier
…A study conducted at the University of Kentucky revealed that there was no significant change in a person’s mood even after they quit social media for seven, 14, 21 or 28 days; or if they continued using social media as before.
The abstract noted, “Social media use has a weak, negative association with well-being in cross-sectional and longitudinal research, but this association in experimental studies is mixed. This investigation explores whether social media abstinence leads to improved daily well-being over four weeks of time.”

Presumably Boris’s life has improved since he quit the Holiday Forum, otherwise he would have returned.

Um …
“QAnon is a disproven and discredited far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking …” according to wiki.
Are you sure you’re talking about the correct Boris?

Immediate reactions.
1. It’s not right to add all the criteria together as a stacked area chart.
2. The big winner has been sleep. Jumping up from 1-2 throughout the “unlimited” section to a steady “5” at the start of the “no social media” section.
3. Am I right to assume that “social anxiety” gives a higher score for less social anxiety? Because otherwise it’s arse about relative to the others.

The stacked area chart does actually work – The score does not indicate the level of “social anxiety”, the legend states that 1 is “Terrible”, and 5 is “Awesome”, so is using the total stacked value as an indicator of general “goodness”.
And yes, sleep is the big winner. If you are able to practice good sleep practices (devices off at a specific time, and do not look at them until you are up and out of bed) then you may not need to quit social media completely to gain benefits.
Get Facebook, “twitter”, snap chat (?) , tik tok and any other crap off your phone.
In the “old days “ mobile phones had limited connection to the net, if you used it on a desk top, when you were out the house you were off media.
Its a time waster that takes over your mind
