Can you tell the type of snake it is from the shed skin?

I found this dangling from the verandah rafters this morning.

Couldn’t get the head as it was jammed between the rafter and tin. Tried so gently, but it broke off.

By no means the biggest one I’ve had here. Just a tiny one it is.

The underbelly scales usually can indicate if the snake is venomous. One scute is venomous two is no venomous… you can tell species by counting the rows, in general terms.

Use this page to identify a snake based on its scale count.

I’m pretty sure I counted right, but got nothing.

It has just a single ventral scale, except past it’s arsehole, then it has two.

I think it’s arsehole scale is divided.

Dorsal scales either 16, 17, or 18. (bit difficult to count)

Subcaudal scales are divided.

State = NSW

I would have thought more likely to be Common (Green) Tree Snake. If you’re on FB, post it on Fast Snake Identification (Australia), and you’ll have your ID in a flash.
