I want to get back into the vegie growing like I was before I got lost in the drought summers.

So I need some Mojo to get me going.

What keeps your Mojo on track and not getting lost??

I am hoping my Mojo will come home to me, by gardening or trying to on the days I am not at the doctors with the elf…for an hour each afternoon. Not rushing, but going at a pace that honour my garden……..

So lets talk mojo thanks:D

Same. I think my mojo would be easier to find if I hard a partner to help in the garden – it would seem less overwhelming and pointless then.

mine comes and goes. I find it helps just to start with a walk around and looking at what’s happening. Then I might pull a few weeds or prune a plant or something. Nothing big or strenuous. Just a light job. That may be all I do that day or I may find myself getting more serious with the weeding or pruning. Starting small is like an appetiser for your Mojo. Enough to stimulate the appetite, not too much to make it feel glutted and tired. Another way is to buy a couple of bags of potting mix and do some propagating or potting up.

also, your Mojo thrives on fresh air. It needs to get outside and breathe it in deep.

I find when I have had a bad night with the elf…. getting started the next day is very hard. Then i tend to pick things to do that I can sit and do in the afternoons, after the house work is finished.

So i need to find a happy medium…

that’s about right.

I just go out to feed my chookies each morning and I look around. Yesterday morning i thought the broc needed building up and i did that. I looked at the broc this morning and thought it looked good – gave myself a pat on the back. Just do a job each morning.

My mojo is back with a vengeance but the body has gone out on strike again.

I don’t know why but I’ve been getting pain again all week so I’m back to the surgeon next Tuesday.

It’s so frustrating/annoying/depressing/etc etc etc. :(

Oh bubba:(

I went though the “you need to stop gardening for your leg/ankle” by the old doctor we had…… I think that was what got me lost from my Mojo.

My gardening Mojo is very much influenced by the weather. I can’t work in the heat any more and I hate the cold. Working in the rain has been known but I think I’m over that too.
SO my Mojo doesn’t get lost if the weather’s not too extreme.
I turned a compost heap this morning :)
If I have other interests occupying me I tend to transfer my Mojo to them. (I’m back into my painting ATM)

Same. I think my mojo would be easier to find if I hard a partner to help in the garden – it would seem less overwhelming and pointless then.

I’m the complete opposite, altho would be nice to have help with the winter weeds.

My mojo is in my vegie garden…it’s my ‘me time’ and the best therapy after a crappy day.
Even if I don’t get time to do anything in there, just a quick wizz round to see how things are going is essential. Hate those days I get home in the dark and don’t get a look in.

I love showin off my efforts to Mr M, but that’s it. He can go play in his shed, while I go play in my garden.

I share your spirit Muschee , I love to go lose myself in the quiet of my garden and as I’m the only ‘gardener freak’, as they call me, it’s a place I can escape to.

I do think though, I keep my mojo going because I hate waste.
If I have planted seeds or seedlings then I have forked out money, and used precious water, and I will look after the garden even if the only time I get to check things growing is just on dusk (as last night) and a quick water from the watering can for what needs it most. If I get sick or injured I do what I can, and enlist help if really needed, but thats rare.

As one vege bed is empty and waiting, then it gets filled with manures and such and still watered, and I love it that there’s always something to do and to remind me to keep going despite all else. Not to mention the wonderful taste of growing my own veges and fruits has me wanting to grow more and more of them.

My Mojo update for today

that garden of yours is still there – mojo intact.

probably importing the manure is the hardest task you face. do you have a bed prepared for broccoli?
peas will grow easily on unfertilised soil – so maybe buy some greenfeast peas to add notrogen to the soil in prep for spring – or broad beans.

I’m so fighting the battle to find my mojo.

Just about to walk out the house and Mrs. Bimbo rang……. picking you up to go to Tea Tree Plaza she tells me……. so I sent the boys to the Toy Shop on their own….. came home with extras…. purple carrot seeds and a multi coloured chrysanthemum in a pot. Its from all the animals for Mother’s Day:)

Other wise they read the list and what varieties I wanted and did good:D

So after lunch I’ll start potting around in the garden area in the middle of the lawn.

I need to learn how to do this also !!!

i put a seat somewhere to deliberately label the garden as bludgers paradise. if you sit in your garden and look you tend to garden without meaning to….. a sort of paradox – try to do nothing – you will fail.

See, this is where I think I differ to you guys. I am very, very good at sitting still. Doing absolutely nothing is a bit harder, but I can totally do it.

Not related to a cat named Garfield by any chance? lol

My MoJo was in full swing today out the back. Even having that cold and it slowing me down. I still found it easy the last few days to go out the back and potter around and have a little play.

My mojo is so pumped…….

Was outside with the elf this morning and was chatting about where things will be planted for this summer…….

I am so excited about this coming food haul…… so happy to think the garden will be back to 100% running over the next few months.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s plant festival. Just so excited about it all……. like I used to be years ago. I hope I don’t loose it again.
