What sort of things should be taught for life education?
Are any schools doing it? What do they teach?
Is empathy taught?

The Life Education (with Healthy Harold) van travels to different schools here. They cover different content for different year groups. I remember mostly (witg=h my sons a few years ago) that there was a strong anti-smoking and anti-drugs message. Not sure what they covered before then, but here’s an empathy link from their page. FWIW, I don’t think that empathy can be taught.

Some behavioural support programs work kids and assist in helping to learn to pay attention to another person’s expressions as some children don’t read body language easily and can accidently invade another person’s personal space or not understand when to step back from another person’s personal space or cease a certain activity or conversation subject.

Some adults would benefit from that program.

So they’re essentially propaganda mongers?
If I was teaching life education – I think first aid and how to identify abusers would be high on the list.

watched that short video, wasn’t too bad
empathy is an aspect of psychological mindedness, that might be a way of putting it, a useful way
most children have it, capacity for reciprocity of feelings or mental state alignment, even conjuring that way, quite instinctive
probably develops better in the context of playfulness, involving some psychological playfulness, which is metaphysics really
many pet dogs have evident capacity for empathy
